Train of thoughts

A post that i composed some years back with deep emotions within myself.

Heavy metal sound was rattling all over the station.People rushing from everywhere.
They knew Nellai express would stop only for 5 mins in Tambaram station.
When the extreme machine left the station it was calm again.

Senthil sat on the wooden chair looking at his mathematics notebook.His eyes were reading the phrase.

"I want to live the rest of my life on your shoulders.Will you accept me"
Luv Gayathri.

He never even dreamt in life that a girl (that too Gayathri) will fall in luv with him.
She was the topper in their class in all aspects and she is one of the so called ultimate girls in the college.

Senthil is from a very small village deep down south and somehow made to get into this Engineering college.

His village has a small raliway station which acknowledges all the express trains and only two passenger trains stops there for few mins.His father is the Lines man for that station.
His job is to check the rail spikes and force rails back into place on steep turns, correcting the gradual shifting caused by the centripetal force of passing trains.He sprays ballast with weedkiller to prevent weeds growing through and disrupting the ballast. Over time, ballast is crushed by the weight of trains passing over it, and periodically it needs to be replaced. If this is not done, the tracks become uneven.

Senthil when he was a kid he used to walk with his father along the rusted steel rails.He likes to hop from the sleeper to sleeper.He would carry the hammer for his dad and he counts the sound when his father hammers the rail spikes. He was grown with the tracks and the train sound.

Every penny that has been sent to his studies was earned by his fathers hard work on these rails.Somehow they manage to send in money every month but it is only plies enough for his hostel and food.

He manages his tuition by his part time job.

The last MRTS train was ready to leave the station.Senthil rushed for it.
The train gained speed and Senthil was standing near the entrance of it and staring at the parrallel rail track.

Daily hundreds and thousands of people travel over these rails but no one knew it required so much maintance.They sleep happily in the place allocated to them.But Senthil knows it.He knows the pain it takes to maintain them.

He cannot let his fathers hardwork dissolve in thin air.
Suddenly he tore the sheet off from his notebook and let the wind to carry it.

MRTS stopped at Chromepet.He got down went straight in to the Worksman room changed his dress and took the hammer.Senthilworks part time as contract labour for the lines man at Chromepet station.

Today he not only hammered the rail spikes but his thoughts on Gayathri as well and he hammered hard.

Beyond Explanations - 6 (Final Mission)

1 Am.Gurgaon Highway.Josh and Samy driving back after dropping Thiru.

"Josh lets forgot all this, please, i am not able deal with it ,also please lets not open up this case with the police ,please lets stop it"  pleaded Samy in giving up tone.
Josh said "Samy ,i did all this to prove that you are not insane about Meghana.What about the offer with GSA" said Josh
"Forget it.Am not joining them" said Samy
Josh smilingly looked at the road through windshield and he added "All right.I shall leave it.But i have a good news for you.
My dad already spoke to GSA folks with his influence and they gave you an offer."
Sammy jumped out and gave a tight hug to Josh.
"Hold on babe.Am driving.Save it until we reach home".They both laughed.

3 Months Later.

"It did work out.Samy is perfect.No more megrims.No violent episodes" said Josh.
"You really deserve an big applause for it.Its all your idea." Said Dr.Krishna
"Thanks Dr.But still it wouldn't have been possible without your help on this.And one more good thins is it worked even perfect when Samy decided not take the case to the police" said Josh
"Its time for a scotch".They smiled and said cheers.

Pre Capture:

Josh "a journalist" is son of a popular politician in Gurgaon and a family friend to Ram's.
And he at the very first sight of Samy has been in love with her.

Samy from her childhood spent most of the time in rehabilitation school and she was very brilliant at academics.
She did her UG/PG in one of the states renowned university.She was recommended for the GSA interview and indeed they liked her very much and sent the offer letter to her home address.

Ram did not show the letter to Samy instead called up Josh and explained the situation and that's when Josh met Dr.Krishna

"Am not sure if she can take up this Job" said Krishna.
"Krishna What exactly is the problem with her.Samy's parents are not telling me her exact state ,may be they think that i would stop loving her if i knew about her." said Josh

"Hmm.Am reluctant to tell about Samy's case details to a Journalist" said Krishna

"Doctor.Samy is my life.I need to know about her so that i can help her" confidently assured Josh
"Interesting.I have been trying that as a doctor for the past 15 years" said and smiled Krishna
"I can help" said Josh.

"Ok.Listen carefully.Samy was brought to me by Ram on a note of she developing imaginary characters.According to Samy,Meghana is physically indistinguishable from real people, while we say she see her imaginary friend only in her head.We doctors still believe that the presence of imaginary friends past early childhood signals a serious psychiatric disorder.While some others disagree, saying that imaginary friends are common among school-age children and are part of normal social-cognitive development.But in Samy's case she was determined in what she believed.Even she started to draw things and show it to us that Meghana drew those.For me this sounded to be an intense case.I had to detain her from the school and admit to rehabilitation school.She stayed there for three years and slowly she stopped talking about Meghana.
But later something else started to show up with in her.She started to distrust people.I wouldn't say its 100% Paranoid disorder but something similar to it.But associated with painful symptoms like severe migraines and violent behavior at times.There were certain times where she has to be sedated to control her behaviour.And it was something that she developed,when no one believed her imaginary friend,including her parents"

They paused and Krishna poured some scotch and pushed the glass towards Josh.
They had a sip and Josh was in a deep thought looking at the roof.

"Ok now tell me how can you help" said Krishna
Josh after a sip said "I can fix Samy.But i would need your help"
"Of course you do" said sardonically Krishna.

"No am not kidding.All we need to do is bring Meghana in to existence and for that i need take Samy back in time."
"And how do you plan to do that" inquisitively asked the doctor.

Josh explained his plan.

Krishna seemed excited and added "Ok here are my two cents ,while Samy was in my care,i had a patient named Sudhir,he was
an engineer at Mercury Automobile,he lost his Daughter named Miraa in an accident ,and not withstanding the shock he lost his mind.Samy used to see him walking and talking about Miraa.She later started to add up to her imaginary stack that he is Meghana's father."

Josh and Krishna met often and they crafted the complete plan.They started by creating a fake letter from GSA that rejected Samy quoting her insanity.
Krishna advised "Josh ,please be aware that you need to make it so realistic that Samy do not even have a single doubt about it.If she gets a hint that this is all a framed-up one, that would add you to her distrust list.And also i want you to make me the villain, as she thinks it is now,that makes it complete and She will believe it straight"

Josh smiled and said "The plan looks perfect.Even one of my friend named Sathish works at Mercury Automobile.That would add some realness to the enact.But there is a loop hole" he paused for a while and looked at Dr.Krishna" and added"After all that happens why wouldn't you go to prison"
Krishna reassuringly said "We can get to that later.You are a journalist we can make up news on that.Knowing Samy well am sure she will not want me to get caught."
Josh did not seem to be convinced.
"Ok.Everything is set.Except the climax part of digging the man-hole in the school and the skeleton excavation" said Josh
"Leave that to me.I shall take care of creating a set for that including the mock up of the skeleton.I can let the gate keeper Shanmugam and his friends know about this so that they can help you in digging scene" said Krishna

Josh along with his friends Thiru and Sathish wrote the script and executed it to perfection.He split the events and narrated them so perfectly to Samy on a periodic basis.To his surprise things went on so realistic and favoring him ,when he saw the Mercury emblem that was drawn by Samy in her notebook.Also Samy spoke about the butterfly necklace episode that he wanted to extrapolate and made it to be the reason for Meghana's death.

Josh made it all happen and he strongly had faith in his deed.Samy was convinced and she got rid of the paranoia as he expected.
Samy did take the position at GSA and they did live happily ever after....

Untill Years Later:

"Meghana.Mommy got a surprise for you.Will give it to you after school in the evening" said Samy and waved bye to Meghana as she entered the school.
Samy named her daughter "Meghana".And today was Meghana's birthday.Josh and Samy came home early to decorate the house for a surprise party for Meghana.
"Samy Whats the Gift that you had been hiding from me " asked Josh
"Yes.You wouldn't believe it,i preserved some thing for her" said Samy and showed him the butterfly necklace
Josh was astounded seeing that and asked "Where did you buy this from"
Samy said "Stupid.Did you not remember this is the necklace that my friend Meghana's remains were holding to when we excavated" said Samy

Josh did not see this on the day he pulled out the drama of excavation and he was not able to control as his shirt suddenly started to drench in the sweat.
He clearly remembered that the butterfly necklace part of the plan was on the flow and was not discussed with Krishna.
His thoughts are "How did this get to the skeleton that Krishna had set-up."

The next moment he started to dress up
"Hi Josh.What happened.Where are you going" asked Samy
Before he could answer their telephone started to alarm.

"Hi We are calling from your Daughters school.We have a bad news.Our principal Mr.Krishana expired today.He had an accident and fell off from Third floor. Unfortunately just before the fall, he was wishing your daughter on her birthday on the floor passageway.And we are suspecting that he would have had his second heart attack that made him unconscious and fall off.Please come and pick up your daughter."

"Is Meghana alright.Did she get frightened looking at the incident" asked Samy
"No she seem to take it well.She in fact is smiling not knowing on what had happened to her principal" said the school authority

and it was an actioned smile..after many many years...

Beyond Explanations - 5 (Butterfly Necklace)

"Its getting late Daddy" yelled Meghana.
"Mirru..2 min's am coming da" replied Sudhir wearing his sock.
Soon they reached the school and Meghana got down the car and went past the school gate.
"Mirra.." Sudhir came running/shouting behind.
Crouched nearer to her and said "Dear, i forgot this" and he pulled a beautiful butterfly necklace from his pocket and put that to Meghana's neck.They waved bye to each-other.
Meghana entered her class and all the pupils were busy talking in groups.
Sameera came running towards Meghana and said "Hey lets stand together in line for the prayer" and noticing the necklace said "Wow.Who got you this i like it very much." and continued in a jealously tone "Can i wear it"
"No.Daddy gave this to me.I wont give to anybody" said Meghana in a upset tone and an instinct to protect something.
Samy really got upset and said "Even to your best friend" and she started to walk back somewhere back in the prayer line.

Shanmugam lift open the man-hole and they found it to be filled with sand down under four feet from surface.
Josh looking in tot he man-hole said "Hey Shanmugam,can you call some of your friends now and as ask them to bring some more shovels.We need to dig this out.I will give 1000 Rs for each of them"
"Josh.What the hell you doing, lets come morning.Its too late in the night" said Samy looking at the full moon.
Josh looked at Shanmugam and he started to ran to call upon some of his friends.
"Samy.We have good lights here.I want to see what's in there" he said.
Soon Shanmugam came with two of his friends and four of them started digging the manhole.

It was 3 PM and it was play time class.
Meghana was sitting on a bench put outside in the play grouond,while all the kids were playing.Sammera never spoke a word from morning.She knew she is really upset on her about the Butterfly necklace.
Meghana removed the necklace from her neck and decided to share it with Samy.All of sudden someone pulled it from her hand and it was Aditya.

Shanmugam and his friends widened the man-hole to be more circular for four feet and started digging at the center.They digged real faster and within two feet of digging their shovel hit something harder and they excavated a md ball and started clearing with bare hands.
The mud covered ball like thing cleared to appear as a bony skeleton of a human head, and  of a small kid.Samy cried out louder looking it.
Soon she started vomiting."Sir,look at this" exclaimed Shanmugam.They continued digging and they pulled the complete skeleton of a little kid from the man-hole.

Aditya was running with the necklace laughing and giggling.Meghana started to Chase him and indeed she ran faster.Aditya threw the necklace on to a bush along pathway between a restroom and a school block.
Meghan ran towards and picked the necklace.She smiled to herself and looked up and she could see the moon already in the day.It was going to be a full moon night.
She smiled to herself and wanted to share the necklace as soon as possible with Samy.
She happily placed a step forward looking at the moon and descended down on to a open man hole.She was absorbed by the hole and got her body ensnarled at depth of 7 feet.This hole was constructed by the school as a way to reach the underground water supply system.It was 10 feet deep.They stopped the work due to some reason and the hole was kept open negligently.

Veera who was working on the fixing the restroom window came rushing as he saw Meghana tripped on to the man-hole.He looked in to the hole but it was dark he couldn't see anything.Meghana could see him from down below.She was in a terrible shock that she couldn't shout back for help.Veera ran towards the Principal office.Mrs.Lalitha was busy talking to Dr.Krishna.Veera explained and all three of them rushed to the man-hole.They looked at it.Meghana saw the three of them from down below.
"Madam.Shall i call someone, police or fire rescue, we can dig out her quickly" said Veera.

Krishna checking his watch said "Wait Veera.Calm down.Lalitha listen to me carefully.Plese dont panic.We need to make a better decision now.We have only 5 min's before the school bell rings for the day,by then all the parents would be here at this playground to pick their kids.We cannot make a scene here.And if you remember last week in parent/teachers meet two of the parents complained about this open hole.We neglected.And am sure the impact of the fall would have killed the kid there is no poing in organizing a rescue operation.It will only lead to closing down of the school"

Krishna said "Veera cover this hole as soon as possible with Sand.And tomorrow pull out the man hole lid in the back of the school.Paint it red and cover it.Lalitha dont worry i shall come up with a plan for this.Lets get out of this place now"
Veera looked at them .He seemed not convincing."Sir.I cant do this sir.Poor little girl"
Krishna said "How much you need to do this sin"
Within in few minutes Veera started to cover the hole with sand.

Josh and Thiru started to sweat and their breaths were labored.
Samy couldn't console herself she felt terrible looking at the skeleton. "Oh my god.Why all this is happening to me.Why should i see such things" she cried
She examined it closely and  looked at the left hand arm and between the finger bones held the Butterfly Necklace.

Gurgoan 7pm. Cold evening

Sameera came to the living room and she was in a beautiful blue saree.
She had two cups of steam emerging tea.

"Samy you look gorgeous" Josh was constantly staring at her while snaffling the hot cup
That made her to establish all the worlds girlish shy blush rosiness.

They both rested on the couch watching each other and sipping the hot liquid.
Samy broke the silence "Did you guys bring Sudhir back to hospital"
Josh said "Yes we had no other option so after talking with him for 1 hr, we took him back to the hospital"

Samy "Are you going to tell me what he said about Meghana"
Josh "Hmmm..Ok listen carefully.This might be disturbing to you."

He paused for a while and moved near Samy and had a long sip from the cup before placing it on the table top.
"Meghana was his only daughter and he calls her Miraa.And she lost her mother when she was 5"
Samy Smiled and asked him "So where is Meghana now"
"Don't know" Josh continued "There was this day when Meghana went to school and never returned back.And when Sudhir checked with the school authorities they told him that there is no such Meghana in their school.He then went to police station to file a missing complaint and a also a complaint against school.Later the police authorities held him.The school authorities and the police together proved Meghana never existed and made him insane.Post that he has be kept in the Dr.Krishnas Asylum"

Silence.

Sameera broke the silence "Josh this is cannot be true."
She jumped out of the coach and brought back the notebook with the arts from Meghana
"Look at this picture.Meghana drew this for me on my birthday.The date Sudhir said that Meghana did not return from school is 20 days back from my birthday"

They both turned the pages of the note book backwards slowly from the page the Meghana was holding.
The clock struck 10 PM and they both agazed and stopped starring at a page.It had a picture drawn with a block written 'School' and a block written as "Bathroom".In between there was a red circle and pictures of three humans.And on of them was colored red in the body and dark navy blue in the leg.

"Is this your school uniform color.What a weird combo" said Josh.
Samy sipping her tea and said "No its not our uniform color.I know.Its our school watchman who wears this pattern all the time to school" she paused for sometime in deep thought and added "his name is Veera".

"Ok common lets go" charged up Josh
Samy asked "Where"
"To your school and lets meet Veera" excited Josh
"Are u insane.Its 9 PM and its damn cold outside.And by the way what makes you think Veera is still there working in the same school"
"Hey Samy don't you need to get in to GSA"
She smiled and hugged him "You really do all this for me !!.I love you so much da" and she without hesitating kissed him exploring his in-self.

Josh wearing his jacket said "There should be someone in charge of watching the school at night.We shall check with him about Veera" and he called his friend Thiru to be ready so that he can pick him too.

Josh,Samy and Thiru got down their car and went straight to the school gate and banged on the gate.
A young man came out of a small room along side of the compound wall.

They introduced themselves and inquired about Veera.
He said "Am Shanmugam and actually my father is Veera.He is not living in this town anymore and i have been warding this school in his place for the past 8 years."

He seemed to be friendly.Josh pulled out the notebook and showed him the picture.
Shanmugam laughed out loud and said "Sir ,are you after something believing a kids silly art"
Thiru giggled sneakingly and Samy said "Shut up guys.Josh lets go ,this is going no where"

They started to walk, and then Shanmugam shouted at them "Sir ,there is a small garden in the place where a red circle was in the picture.This garden was built by me and my father when i was a kid approximately 15 years before.You want to see it.We also have lights "

Josh ran back to Shanmugam and said "Yes we want to see".
They all went inside a small gate and Shanmugam switched on the lights.They saw a beautiful garden planted with all kinds of flower plants.

"Ok.Josh. that's it lets go" said Samy losing her patience.She got nostalgic looking at her school.
"Mr Guard.Can i get one rose plant" asked Thiru to Shanmugam.He acknowledged happily and said "Let me get a shovel" and ran away.Josh starred at Thiru and he blushed.
Shanmugam came back and started to excavate a rose plant along with the roots.He digged hard and they all heard the shovel striking something metallic.

Josh quickly cleared away the sand particles to expose a man-hole and all of them looked at it and thier eyes fiiled with fear.And it was painted RED.
